The semi-sweet varieties include Apple-Raspberry, Apple Blush, and Orchard White.
The Apple Barn offers four choices of dessert wine -- Apple-Peach, Apple-Strawberry, Applewood White, and Muscadine.
Smoky Mountain Winery Another winery to check out close to Gatlinburg cabin rentals, Smoky Mountain Winery is a small, family-owned winery that makes you feel right at home from the moment you drive up.
They started producing their 20 wines in 1981 and are eager to show one and all around their operation.
The tour is short and inspiring taking you through the process of wine making.
Both the tour and wine tastings are free.
This is a great location for beginners who are not familiar with the world of wine tasting.
They offer a full line ranging from dry white to super sweet dessert wines that seem to transport themselves into your tummy in an instant.
The sweet wines are the varieties the Smoky Mountain Winery is best known for.
At the top of the list is the blackberry.
Mountain Valley Winery This location is a bit more of a drive from Gatlinburg cabin rentals, but if you can only include one winery on the list, this is it.
The Pigeon Forge facility provides free entrance, tours, and tasting to give all a chance to see how their award-winning wines are produced.
They offer 11 wines ranging from sweet dessert wines to dry Cascade White.
The building and grounds are one of the state's largest family-owned operations fully committed to the art.
They are close to the area's biggest attractions and have a gift shop with Tennessee farm cheeses that compliment the beverages perfectly.
These three wineries give visitors and locals an enjoyable look at the world of wine and its production.
