    • 1). Turn off the power to the bathroom exhaust fan. This will prevent any potential shock from happening as you are cleaning the exhaust fan.

    • 2). Remove the cover from the exhaust fan. Most covers unscrew or snap out of place easily.

    • 3). Clean the exhaust fan with a vacuum. This will remove large debris and dust from the fan before you begin wiping it down with a wet cloth.

    • 4). Wet a clean cloth with water. Wipe down the exhaust fan and fan cover with the cloth. Clean the blades of the fan and anything else you can reach. Be careful to avoid soaking the wiring of the fan.

    • 5). Let the bathroom exhaust fan dry completely. Wipe everything down with a dry cloth. Let the fan air dry the rest of the way.

    • 6). Reattach the exhaust fan cover. Test the fan to make sure it works properly.
