    Artwork

    • Replicating old Hollywood black and white artwork is a cost-effective DIY project. Head to your local library and frame newspaper images from the glamor-ridden days of early Hollywood. Find magazines from this period by searching through yard, estate and other sales. Black and white frames, as well as a few glossy red lacquered frames all work with your old Hollywood theme.

    Textiles

    • Velvet, satin, silk and leather create your old Hollywood black and white bedroom. Invest in a plush velvet couch as well as leather club chairs, which are reminiscent of Humprhey Bogart and Lauren Bacall sipping drinks at such Hollywood institutions as the Beverly Hills Hotel. Add a pop of color with pink or red silk and lace pillows.

    Paint and Paper

    • Apply a textured wallpaper to one or two walls as an accent -- silver or gold wallpaper with an embossed overtone is ideal. Creating a sense of glitz in the room is key to replicating old Hollywood glamor. Stencil the other walls in a stylish polka dot print such as a simple white dot pattern laid on black paint. Polka dot is chic and totally Hollywood classic.

    Accessories

    • An antique silver phone, such as the one featured in the movie posters for the classic, "Breakfast at Tiffany's," are a perfect accessory for your old Hollywood style space. Plenty of jewel-encrusted mirrors, together with art deco jewel boxes, give shiny polish and sheen. Adding vintage perfume bottles and a mobile bar, made of dark wood and topped with art-deco mosaic glass, finalize the old world Hollywood look.
