Tips to Help Prevent Kids From Missing School Because of Sick Days

According to Mayo Clinic (a not-for-profit medical practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of myriad complex illnesses), the top 5 reasons kids miss school are 1) the common cold, 2) the stomach flu, 3) ear infections, 4) pink eye, and 5) sore throats.
All these can be prevented - they really can!! It's a very simple solution - keep their immune system strong and no matter what is going around your son or daughter will not catch it.
It's as simple as that.
When they have a strong immune system, it's like putting up a shield so that no illnesses can get through.
So how do you make their immune systems stronger, you may ask.
Here are some suggestions: 1.
Encourage them to eat a variety of organic fruits and veggies throughout the day, and well balanced meals and snacks.
Make sure they have a good hearty breakfast before they head off - organic eggs are a good choice and there are several ways you can prepare them; offer it with a side of sprouted grain toast and a glass of orange juice.
Don't offer them sugary cereals or pop tarts that do nothing for their health or their energy level.
Do not give them money for junk food and sodas at school, and DO give them a bottle of water to drink throughout the day.
2.
Supplement their nutrition with high-quality wholefood supplements.
These should include a multivitamin and, if they can swallow pills, an omega-3 pill as well, which can be called the "brain pill".
Young Living offers great supplements and my kids love their berry and orange creme flavored chewables.
My 9 year old son takes one omega-3 pill a day.
3.
Make sure they get enough exercise.
Exercise strengthens your immune system in a major way.
4.
Make sure they get enough sleep at night.
Kids need around 10 hours of sleep so make sure they get that amount of rest by adjusting their bedtime to match 10 hours before they get up.
Keep your kids healthy so they don't have to miss school days this year.
Make sure their immune systems are strong by providing well-balanced meals for them, offering them wholefood supplements, encouraging them to get enough exercise on a daily basis, and making sure they get enough rest at night.
