The same method of divination that works for one person does not necessary work for another.
Therefore, a person has to go through a trial and error method before figuring out which type of divination works for him or her.
Here we will discuss the method of scrying, also known as crystal gazing.
Scrying is often done with the help of a crystal ball.
However, you can use any surface that is reflective in nature, including a glass full of water.
If you are using glass for scrying, it should be either round or oval in shape, and it can be a mirror or a frame for pictures.
However, the back of the glass has to be painted black using paint.
Before you attempt scrying, it is necessary to go through ritual of cleansing your body and mind.
The body is cleansed by means of a bath, while the mind is cleanse using meditation.
If you are using a glass full of water, then ensure that it is filled till the brim.
Then the glass should be placed on a dark plain surface.
For this you can cover a table with a black velvet tablecloth.
When you are attempting scrying, it is best to turn off the lights.
Instead use the light given by a lit candle.
Place the candle a little far from the reflective surface, so no light falls on it and spoil your concentration.
Then light incense.
Sit in front of the reflective surface and stare into it.
Have the question that you want answered ready.
Then relax your mind and body and clear all thoughts.
Look into the reflective surface.
Different people have their questions answered in different manner.
Some will see an image appearing on the reflective surface, while others will first see a film of mist and then the image.
The image can be colored or in black and white.
It can be a still or moving image.
If you are novice in scrying, then you will not see anything in the first few attempts.
Do not get disheartened.
You have to keep trying until your succeed.
It is advisable to try this method once a week if you want to perfect it.
The image that you see is symbolic representation of your question and you will have to interpret it.
