Hi, my name is Chris Wade, and I'm a contractor from the city of Los Angeles. And today, I'm going to show you how to seal leaking grout. Most of the time, grout is pretty much okay. But in areas where there's a lot of water penetration, like a shower wall for instance, an area next to a sink. A prep area where there's just going to be a lot of liquids penetrating the grout, we are going to use a grout sealer. And the best way to do it, there's many, many kinds you can use. Go to your local hardware store home center and just grab a bottle. But what you do, and you don't want to do this if this is a new application, new tile, new grout, you have to wait at least 24 hours before you apply this after the grouting process. But all you do is you just pour it in here. You can be generous with it. It's got this little nifty brush that kind of keeps you in line with your grout lines. And you just get it in there. Put it in very generously and you want to penetrate and sit for about 10 or 15 minutes. Once it's set up you can come back and you can just wipe off the excess with a sponge. And if you need to you can apply a second coat. You can even apply a third coat if you want to. But at least wait 10, 15, even 20 minutes would be a good amount of time to let this set up. And again, this is what you are going to want to use if you want to seal grout.
