- Cost of ink is a major factor when choosing a printer. Ink cartridges can be a big expense for people who operate printers daily. Kodak claims the ink cartridges for all its printers save consumers at least $110 a year, as of 2010, at a minimum printing of four pages per day.
- Faxing capabilities are available only on ESP 9250 and ESP Office 6150 models. Wi-Fi is offered on every model except the ESP 3250. Direct printing from smartphones such as as Apple's iPhone is a feature on three models, ESP 9250, ESP 7250, and ESP Office 6150.
- Print speeds vary among the printers, and are measured by pages per minute (ppm). ESP 9250, ESP 7, ESP 7250, and ESP Office 6150 all produce 32 ppm black-and-white prints and 30 ppm color prints. Other models run at 30 ppm black-and-white prints and 29 ppm color prints.
