Method 1: Reset Windows Vista password through Vista operating system
Windows Vista allows you to create a password reset disk with a USB flash drive in a few seconds. It can help you reset Windows Vista password when you forget it.
Part 1: Create Windows Vista password reset disk
Step 1: Log on your Windows Vista computer.
Step 2: Insert a USB flash drive in computer.
Step 3: Click Start button to select Control Panel.
Step 4: Click User Accounts and Family Safety in the following screen.
Step 5: Click User Accounts when a new screen appears.

Part 2: Reset Windows Vista password
Step 1: Start your computer and get to the Windows Vista logon screen.
