This is just an article about why love music, and what I feel music does for me.
I particularly like playing music, whether it is on my piano or my guitar, I just love to make music.
1) The Way the instrument feels.
When I pick it up or sit at it, I love that it is silent, and only when I press or strum, does that beautiful creation begin to purr.
Playing an instrument is one of the best things that anybody can ever learn to do, and holding the instrument is the first part of learning, so it will always be the most special.
2) The music I play.
When you look at the wide range of music that is on offer today, and you can see all the musical influences and the range of different styles and genres it is impossible to find something that you won't love.
I like to play a bit of everything.
On my Roland Piano, I like to play classical, jazz and sometimes rock.
On my Electric Guitar, I like to play metal and I sometimes even play my banjo when I want to put a twist on a song.
3) Roland Pianos.
'Nuff Sed 4) They way instruments smell.
My Roland piano absolutely stinks of wood and passion! I bought it new and have since taken excellent car of it, with nary a scratch or smudge on it at all.
5) Music reminds you of people.
When I sit at my piano and play, I am sometimes overcome with images and thoughts of people close to me and those that I have met previously and it reminds me of good times I have had in the past, this is one of the main reasons I play my instruments so often.
6) Music is a universal language.
I have been abroad and listened to different types of music from people whose language I cannot understand.
I have no idea what they are saying, but somehow their music stills speaks to me and I feel as if somehow and on some level I have connected with them.
7) Music can be used as an ice breaker.
In my younger years, when I went with my friends, we went to rock and roll bars and tried to chat up the ladies.
We then discovered we were hopeless at this.
Using the music as a way to bridge the gap between us made communicating so much easier and in some cases redundant, as we would just enjoy the music together and not worry about talking.
8) Playing my Roland piano.
When I am feeling down or bored or just fancy a quick play, I pull out my sheet music, sit to the piano and just go with it.
When I play I just feel separate from everything else that I happening around me.
I just love to play my music and whenever we have people in the house, I like to get them round the piano and just have a jam.
It's one of the staples of my life.
9) Snacking for the soul.
When I play my Roland piano, I feel somehow fuller and richer for the experience.
I can't guarantee the same effects for anyone else, but I certainly feel inspired and nourished.
10) UNITY.
The most important thing is unity.
When I play people tap their feet.
Music unites people both consciously and subconsciously.
When we listen to or play music, we are together.
I hope this has been of some use or benefit to you.
I love music and I hope you all do to, if I have helped you in understand some of the reasons as to why many others have found a bond with music then that is gratification enough.
