- 1). Host an end of summer party. Many schools make the students' class lists available during the summer to parents. Call your child's school and ask for the class list and invite the children on it to a party.
- 2). Attend any activities hosted by the school. Many schools have a meet and greet day or a picnic for kids to meet their teachers and classmates.
- 3). Organize a neighborhood get together. Most school districts decide which kids go to which school by geographic location. If your child gets to know the kids in the neighborhood, chances are they will be in the same school. If they are the same age, they even may be in the same classroom.
- 4). Spend time at the library. Attending activities and events geared towards your child’s age group will provide a chance for you to run into potential classmates. Talk to the parents to see what school their child will be attending and who their teacher will be.
