    Identification

    • The HP 110-1030NR features a black chassis measuring 10.3 inches wide, 6.8 inches deep and 1.3 inches high at its thickest point. It weighs 2.9 lbs. before optional upgrades and accessories. A six-cell rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides on-board power and an included 30-watt AC adapter supplies the 1030NR with external power. Additional identifying features include a touch pad and miniaturized eighty-two key QWERTY keyboard, which is 92 percent as large as a standard laptop keyboard.

    Processor, Memory and Storage

    • HP sold base versions of the 110-1030NR equipped with an Intel Atom N270 processor that has a clock speed of 1.6 gigahertz (GHz), 512 kilobytes (KB) of Level 2 Cache and a front-side bus (FSB) speed of 533 megahertz (MHz). The 110-1030NR came standard with 1 gigabyte (GB) of random access memory (RAM), which is not upgradeable. The netbook provides storage in the form of a 160GB internal Serial ATA-150 hard drive that runs at 5,400 rotations per minute (rpm). An integrated five-in-one memory card slot provides additional storage and is compatible with Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMediaCard and xD Picture Card memory cards.

    Display and Multimedia

    • The 110-1030NR features a 10.1-inch LED anti-glare widescreen display with a native resolution of 1,024 pixels by 576 pixels. An Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 video chip handles graphics on the laptop, sharing up to 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM with the main system memory. An integrated high-definition audio chip handles sound, playing back audio via a pair of built-in stereo speakers. An HP web camera and an integrated microphone are built into the plastic border around the laptop's screen.

    Connectivity and Expansion

    • HP outfitted the 110-1030NR with two methods for connecting to the Internet and local area networks (LANs). The first is a 10/100 Ethernet card and the second is a built-in 802.11b/g Wi-Fi card. Additional ports and connections featured on the 110-1030NR include three USB 2.0 ports, one 15-pin visual graphics array (VGA) monitor connection and a 3.5-millimeter (mm) combination headphone output/microphone input jack.
