Here is the final photo in our look at the EMP Tek Cinema 7 system that shows a close-up view of the E10s's controls and connections.

LFE and Line-In: This where you plug in the subwoofer LFE or Preamp output from your home theater receivers or AV processor.

Volume: This is also referred to as Gain. This is used to adjust the sound output of the subwoofer in relation to the other speakers.

Crossover: The crossover control sets the point at which you want the subwoofer to produce low frequency sounds, against the ability of the center, main, and surround speakers to reproduce low frequencies.

The crossover adjustment provided on the E10s is variable from 40 to 150Hz.

Phase: This control matched matches in/out subwoofer driver motion to the satellite speakers. This control can be set at either 0 or 180 degrees.

Auto: This is the standby On/Off switch. If set to On, the E10s will start when a low frequency signal is detected. When set to off, the subwoofer is continuously on (the Master Power switch is not shown in this photo).
