Healthy fast foods must have the appropriate vitamins as well as each appropriate amount of those vitamins in their foods before they can be considered to be 'healthy' fast foods. Vitamin A is a must in ones diet. It is measured in international units of 0.344 micrograms, equal to about one-third of a retinol equivalent. Vitamin C another vitamin that the human body cannot live without and must be in fast foods in order for the fast food to be considered a 'healthy' fast food. Vitamin C is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent, which explains its usefulness in conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. And since vitamin C is needed for the healthy function of the immune system, it can also be helpful for preventing recurrent ear infections or colds.

Other vitamins of necessity that need to be in fast foods for those fast foods to be consider 'healthy' fast foods are: Vitamin B 6, Vitamin B 12, and folate. All of these vitamins are of particular importance for a healthy heart. Foods rich in Vitamin B 6 include bananas (bananas also contain potassium which is essential for heart health), carrots, spinach, avocados, eggs, nuts, potatoes, sunflower seeds, walnuts, wheat germ, salmon, and tuna.

The multi B vitamins are also very important for a healthy nervous system.
