    Converting the Video Correctly for iPod Playback

    • 1). Double-click on the "WinX Video Converter" icon with your cursor to open the video converting program on your computer.

    • 2). Click on the "Add" button (which is located near the top left corner of the screen) with your cursor, which will open a pop-up window. Next, locate and click the video file you desire to convert upon your iPod. Then click the "Open" button in the pop-up window, which will load your video file within WinX Video Converter.

    • 3). Click on the "to MP4" or "to MOV" tab with your cursor in the WinX Video Converter screen.

    • 4). Click on the menu bar next to "Audio Quality" with your cursor and select the audio output settings for your video. If you are unsure which selections to make, choose the default option, which is "128," underneath both of the "to MP4" and "to MOV" tabs. If you have selected the "to MOV" tab from Step 3, skip to Step 6.

    • 5). Click on the menu bar next to "Video Format" (which is located in the "Video Setting" section) with your cursor and verify that "MPEG4" (the default option) is selected, and NOT "H264." If "H264" is selected, change the option back to "MPEG4" to ensure compatibility with your respective iPod devices.

    • 6). Click on the menu bar next to "Video Format" (which is located in the "Video Setting" section) with your cursor and select "Original Size and Keep Aspect Ratio" to ensure that the converted video maintains the same dimensions as the original video. To change the dimensions and maintain your video's proper proportions, select the "Custom Size and Keep Aspect Ratio," then click on the menu bars next to "Video Resolution (W: H: )" and adjust the width and the height of the video accordingly. To alter the dimensions of your converted video disproportionately, click on the menu bar next to "Video Format" and select the "Custom Size with Custom Aspect Ratio" option, then click on the menu bars next to "Video Resolution (W: H: )" and adjust the height and width of your converted video.

    • 7). Click on the large "Start" button (located near the bottom right corner of the screen) with your cursor to initiate the video conversion process. To cancel the video conversion process, click on the large "Stop" button in the pop-up window.

    Importing Video into iTunes & Syncing Video to Your iPod

    • 1). Double-click on the "iTunes" icon with your cursor to open up the program. Then click on the "Movies" option, which is located underneath the "Library" section.

    • 2). Click on the "File" menu option (which is located near the top left corner of your screen), then select the "Add File to Library" option with your cursor, which will launch a pop-up window. Locate and click on your converted video, then click on the "Open" button (which is located near the bottom-right corner of the pop-up window).

    • 3). Double-click on the converted video file to verify that it plays correctly within iTunes, then connect your iPod device to your computer via the USB cord that came with the device.

    • 4). Click on your iPod device (which is located underneath the "Devices" section) with your cursor, then click on the "Movies" tab. Next, click on the box next to the "Sync Movies," and click the box next to "Automatically include." In the menu bar, select "all" (or your preferred option), then click on the "Sync" button located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen which will export your converted video upon your iPod device.
