A degree in computer science can lead to a number of different rewarding careers in a computer-related field. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the number of jobs for computer scientists will increase by 24 percent from 2008 to 2018. A computer science degree can also lead to a career as a computer network administrator, network architect or database administrator.
