This basic, simple cheese soup is flavored with a little bacon and some onion and celery. Serve with croutons or bread and a salad.

Cheese Dip Recipes
- 2 slices bacon, diced
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups milk
- 3/4 cup shredded process American cheese
In a medium saucepan, cook bacon just until crisp; remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels to drain. Add onions and celery to the drippings and cook until tender. Reduce heat to low. Stir in flour and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
Gradually add milk. and continue cooking, stirring frequently, until smooth and thickened. Add cheese and stir until melted.
op servings with the cooked bacon.
