    Power

    • The power of a blower affects how efficiently the tool will work. If you have a larger surface area to clear or more debris to move, you will probably want a higher voltage blower. Both the NS118 and CS100 blowers are battery-operated and rechargeable, but the NS118 has 18 volts of power compared to the CS100's 12 volts. Both models have an air speed of 120 mph.

    Size

    • The NS118 and CS100 are lightweight models, designed to make them easy for users to carry. The NS118 weighs in at just five pounds, while the CS100 is slightly heavier, at 7.1 pounds.

    Surface Use

    • The NS118 blower can be used on hard, outdoor surfaces, including steps, walkways, and driveways. While the CS100 blower is also suitable for use on hard surfaces, Black & Decker suggests that the CS100 not be used on grass or in flower beds. However, the NS118 can be used to remove debris from your flower bed or lawn.

    Additional Features

    • Both blower models are cordless, have rechargeable batteries, and come with wall chargers. While the NS118 will charge in about three hours, the CS100 requires an overnight charge. The ergonomically-designed blowers have an estimated runtime of 12 minutes if the battery is fully charged. The blowers feature a low-noise design.
