Blizzak LM-25 Snow Tires - Performance Winter Traction

103 11
Bridgestone's Blizzak LM-25 is a high capability snow tire optimized for maximum traction and handling for the most discerning of performance care drivers.
The biggest problem with a high powered car, whether it's a European sports car, smooth Japanese GT, or an American world-killer, is the nearly complete lack of traction in the winter snow and ice.
What do you do with 400+ horsepower when the tires won't bite at all? This is not only frustrating, it's downright dangerous.
That's where the Blizzak LM-25 comes in.
Bridgestone came out with the original studless snow model of this family back in 1999.
In the ensuing 10+ years, the company has worked hard to optimize the tread and carcass design for maximum performance and reliability.
As a result, these tires are constantly rated at the top of their class, which includes the Continental ExtremeWinterContact, Dunlop Graspic and Michelin X-Ice.
With this level of competition, how can the LM-25 stay at the top? First, this tire is built on Bridgestone's UNI-T bonded multi-structural tire technology.
This starts with a base of durable and accurately shaped base plies for stability and shock absorption.
The inner carcass is wrapped in a web of strong yet flexible nylon that keeps the tire as round as possible.
No matter what forces are applied, the tire simply adapts and bounces back to its original shape.
This delivers optimum rolling resistance, low noise, and tire longevity through potholes, hard cornering, and long drives.
This inner part is then wrapped in several circumferential steel belts designed to resist the hardest impacts and provide spring to the tire.
Next, the base is wrapped in a layer of soft highly advanced nano tube multicell rubber material.
Bridgestone developed a synthetic material which contains tiny tubes throughout the entire tire surface.
This layer literally dries up the thin film of water between the contact patch and the road.
The result is an ability to develop a high friction contact patch, even in the worst possible weather.
The directional tread design of the Blizzak LM-25 offers immense traction for high performance cars.
The tire's 3-dimensional edge design, with thousands of sipes and grooves at different levels, massively increases the available biting edges.
These surface patterns interlock and overlap everywhere, delivering significantly more grip in snow and ice.
When you put the power down with these tires, it stays down! Drivers all say this is the most traction they have ever felt in their performance sports cars and coupes.
Bridgestone snow tires come in a huge range of low profile sizes for all wheel diameters from 15 to 18 inches.
When you shop around an do your research you will probably settle on the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 as your snow tire of choice.
