Compact Stove Dimensions
- Compact-sized stoves are ideal for smaller kitchens in an apartment or condo. These models are available in widths of 20 to 24 inches and still have four burners, but tend to have fewer features or upgrade options.
- The standard and most popular kitchen stoves are 30 or 32 inches wide and work well within the majority of kitchen sizes and layouts. Slightly more expensive than compact models, they can be ordered with upgrades such as a self-cleaning feature and a timer.
- Larger, oversized stoves are sold up to 40 inches wide and used in spacious kitchens. Extra features such as additional burners, gourmet cooking settings, warmer drawers and down-draft stovetop grills are perfect for the most discerning chef.
- It is recommended that each stove have a minimum of 12 inches of clear counter space to one side of the stove and 15 inches on the opposite side to ensure a safe and efficient work area.
