- The Kodak ESP series operate on regular household current. Ethernet 10/100 wired or 802.11 Wi-Fi (b, g or n standard) connections are necessary for networking, and a USB 2.0 port is needed for direct connection to a computer.
Windows System Requirements
- Any printer in the ESP series will operate on a computer or network that runs Windows XP-Home SP2 or above, Vista home basic or above, or any version of Windows 7. Internet Explorer 7 or higher is required along with the operating system. The minimum processor required for this series is an Intel Celeron 1.2 GHz or the equivalent AMD or other compatible processor. At least 512 MB of RAM memory are necessary, and 500 MB of space must be available on the hard disk. A CD-ROM drive and USB port are used for set-up.
Mac System Requirements
- The earliest operating system that can be used for this series of printers on a Mac system is OS X 10.4.8. It is compatible with a PowerPC G4 or G5, or a Mac with an Intel CPU running at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz or greater. While 512 MB memory is the minimum. 1024 MB of RAM is recommended. A minimum of 200 MB of empty space must be available on the hard disk drive; a CD-ROM drive and USB port are necessary for set-up.
Wireless Device Printing Requirements
- The ESP series of printers support printing directly from the Apple iPhone (running iOS 3.0 or later for all models except the Office 6150, which is compatible with iOS 2.2 or later), the Apple iPad and the Apple iPod touch (2nd generation or later) as well as from any Wi-Fi-enabled BlackBerry device that is running OS 4.5 or later. Printing from these devices requires the Kodak "Pic Flick" application that is available for download free from the official Kodak site.
