    • 1). Power off your Toshiba Satellite and unplug the battery pack from the bottom of the computer.

    • 2). Use your fingers or the tip of your screwdriver to pop the rubber pads off of each of the screws on the corners of the plastic frame surrounding the LCD screen.

    • 3). Remove the screws from the corners of the frame, then pry the frame gently off of the screen with your fingers.

    • 4). Locate the rectangular inverter board mounted to the side of or directly below the screen. Check the cables that connect at either end of the board and make sure they are secure. If they aren't, unplug them and plug them back in, making sure they are secure. Plug your AC power cable into the computer, turn on the computer and check to see if the lines are gone. If this hasn't solved the screen problem, turn the computer off, remove the cable and proceed to the next step.

    • 5). Tilt the screen itself slightly away from the back panel of the computer and the thick screen cable will be visible connected to the back of it.

    • 6). Remove the tape covering the screen cable and check the cable to make sure it is secure. If it isn't unplug it from its port and plug it back in, making sure it is secure. Reverse the steps for reassembly.
