How to Remove an Eclipse Car Radio

    • 1). Loosen the nut attached to the negative battery cable (usually black) with a pair of pliers. Wiggle the cable and pull it away from the negative battery post.

    • 2). Insert a trim tool into the edge of the radio/air vent panel. Push out until one of the clips pops out, and then pull the panel off with your hands. Unplug the hazard light adapter from behind the panel.

    • 3). Remove the four Phillips head screws, and then pull the radio chassis out of the dash. Unplug the factory wiring harness from behind the radio.

    • 4). Separate the radio from the vent assembly (it's attached by clips).
