How to Buy a Limo for Private Use

    Selection

    • Select the type of limousine you desire---a stretched sedan or SUV---and the year, make and model. Peruse the lots or listings of limousine dealers to view the available selection.

    Cost

    • Price the limousine before making the purchase, to determine if it fits in your budget. A new limousine can cost $75,000 or more, while a used one can cost as little as $15,000.

    Private or Dealer

    • Determine how you will make the purchase---from a private owner or from a limousine dealer. Making the purchase from a private owner will typically be a cash deal, whereas financing the limousine and purchasing an extended warranty will be easier from a dealer.

    Purchase

    • Pay for the limousine, and register it in your name. If you are buying from a limousine dealer, you can get financing, a warranty and other options, including color, just as you would with a regular car or SUV.
