Natural Facial Scrub
- The best way to prevent pimples is to ensure that your face is always free of oil, dirt, bacteria and dead skin. Frequently splashing your face with cold water is an easy way of doing this. Using a mild cleanser at the end of the day to remove make-up is a good way to prevent pimples from appearing. But, along with these skin care methods, you can make a natural facial scrub at home, by mixing a tablespoon of gram flour and a teaspoon of turmeric powder with a half-cup of yogurt and adding a few drops of lemon in this mixture. This not only exfoliates the skin, but also lightens pimple marks and scars effectively, over time.
- Lemon has many properties that make it a perfect bleaching ingredient. Lemon juice, combined with milk and almond oil, are acidic and help to dissolve the superficial layer of your skin. Adding honey, which is rich in antioxidants, will protect your skin from free radicals. Applying this mixture regularly to your skin will help reduce pimple scars. Because these are natural ingredients, the proportions don't have to be exact. However, if you have oily skin, it is recommended that you add more lemon to the mixture. If you have a tendency toward dry skin, it's best to add more milk, honey and almond oil, than lemon. Because milk contains fatty acids, your skin will retain its moisture. Use milk and honey as your base, and then add several drops of the other ingredients. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. Wash your face with warm water and then apply the mixture. Leave the mixture on for 30 minutes and wash your face again. This process should be done three times a week.
- Other remedies that fade pimples are sandalwood and rosewater. They can be mixed to form a soothing paste that fades scars over time. Just leave the mixture on for an hour, or overnight, then wash it off. Another option is to make a facial mask. Combine one tablespoon each of sour cream, yogurt, oatmeal, and lemon or lime juice. Apply and wait for 10 minutes. Do this daily, until you see results.
