Would you like to chew you meal replacement shake?

    As a part of my determined effort to become a healthier me I've been drinking a protein shake for breakfast and lunch nearly every day for 18 months.  I love the taste of this shake and what it does for me so much that I've told everyone about it.  Just lately, I've begun to feel that it is time for a change.  You know what I mean, just a kick to my breakfast to change things up a little.  So that's when I considered cereal.

         But I was stumped.  Where could I find a cereal that tasted as good as, and was as nutritionally sound and beneficial as my shake?  I wanted to feel right about the choice I made.  A sugary cereal that only promises to add a little fiber or protein was not a consideration. 

          You see, I'm a senior citizen now and I cannot afford to jeopardize my health and wellness by eating too much sugar, fiber and carbs since I'm not as able to "work off" the effects as I once was.

          So, I wondered, how could this cereal stack up?  These are big "shake shoes" to fill.  My shake contains 90 calories, 5 grams of fiber, 12 grams of protein and is very low in all of the other things I'm trying to avoid.  That's tough competition for any other food.

           My search for the perfect breakfast cereal came to an end when I discovered that the same company that makes my shake now markets the ingredients in a flake form!  How awesome is that?!  Now I can get my shake in a flake.  This cereal is the best tasting, most filling breakfast I've found and it's great to be able to crunch my breakfast now and then.  I'm blown away by the taste and over the moon about how much nutrition I'm getting.  Oh, and I don't have to worry about eating too much of one thing and not enough of another.

           This cereal has just as much protein and fiber as my shake plus all the same vitamins, minerals and a whole lot more to help me maintain my health.  It contains more calories and carbs to stave off hunger even longer.  Here's another great fact: I'm not having to eat two bowls full of this cereal to get all the benefit of a great breakfast because a serving size is only 3/4 of a cup!  All that great nutrition in less than a cup of cereal.  This is a wonderful healthy breakfast for kids before school because it starts their day off satisfied and keeps them full for hours with out all the sugar found in so many other cereals. 

           And now I have a confession to make.  My newly discovered cereal makes the BEST bedtime snack right out of the package!
