The reason you need sleep is to rest and restore energy levels.
But when your sleep is disturbed, you end up with fragmented sleep patterns and dangerously low oxygen levels in your bloodstream.

Insomnia is both a sleep disorder and a symptom of other problems.
This serious inability to sleep is often caused by high levels of unresolved stress or anxiety.
It can also result from depression.
Not all cases of insomnia are related to your mental condition.
Sometimes insomnia is simply an indicator of poor sleep hygiene, like taking in too much caffeine or eating large meals right before bedtime.
It's also possible that insomnia can occur as a side effect of some medications.
Snoring is very common in America, with one in eight Americans admitting to the problem.
Snoring results from the vibration of loose throat tissues.
These tissues may become loose as a result of increased weight or aging.
In most cases, the snorer is not sleeping well.
And, they are most likely disturbing their partner's sleep at the same time.

With sleep apnea, the airway is usually blocked in some way, preventing proper breathing.
In rarer cases, the brain fails to signal the need to breathe.
Sleep apnea, if left untreated, can be a serious condition that can seriously affect your performance every day.
