12. Dec 4: Last Night of Hanukkah

Saturday December 4th is the last night of Hanukkah, 2013. You can give gifts, have a party, light the full menorah, play dreidel, eat latkes and donuts and tell the story of the Maccabees. Also, you can attend the final lighting of the public menorah lightings (get locations and schedule here)

13. Dec. 8 Matisyahu Hanukah Concerts (Manhattan, sorry folks)

In 2011, Brooklyn hosted a concert by the now-legendary Matisyahu, with his melange of Hassidic tunes and Jewish sensibility combined with reggae and hip-hop beats. He performs this year in a Manhattan venue.
